Make your own Ornament Garland

Updated: Nov 20, 2018

Do you have extra ornaments? Use them to make a beautiful garland Christmas decoration. You only need the ornaments and string, its that simple! This garland looks beautiful on the mantle, hanging off of tables or even strung on the Christmas tree. Depending on the size of the ornaments you can put the garland in so many places, see my step by step below.

For this holiday project simply just take your extra ornaments and string them together to make this simple garland.

Materials Needed:

1. Ornaments

2. String

The reason I love this craft is that you can pull it together with materials you have at home, no need to go out and buy anything for this project!

1. To start, make a knot a few inches down from the end of the string, add your first ornament and knot it right after to make sure its secure.

2. Your then going to add the next ornament pulling it very close to the adjacent ornament. By doing this they start to stack on top of each other, giving it the clustered look.

3. Just continue to add the ornaments, pulling them close and knotting them, finish by securing it to your tree or to the mantle above the fireplace, its that simple!

This project looks very intricate and complicated but really its so quick! See my blog post with the mini ornament garland where I put colored ornaments together and made a beautiful garland for the Christmas Tree!
